Zivko “Jeff”  Acevski

Zivko “Jeff” Acevski, 87, of Mansfield, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.

 

Jeff was born May 19, 1934 in Selo Capari, Macedonia. He was the son of Yourdan and Trijanka Acevski. He served in the Yugoslavian Military Army. Jeff immigrated to the United States in 1966 to be with his family. He worked along side his family at Chris’s Cafe until 2011, and was a member of the Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church. Jeff always was a friend to many, humble, hard working, and very resourceful. Mostly, he was a true family man and dearly loved his grandchildren. His favorite past times included gardening, tending to his apple trees and grapes, woodworking, and being outdoors.

 

He is survived by his wife whom he married in 1956 and shared 65 years together, Verka Acevski; his son, Tom (Lynda) Acevski; his daughter, Ljubica (Joe) Novello; his grandchildren, Colton, Logan, and Blair Acevski; his sister, Milica Tanchevski; his brother, Pete (Yoca) Acheff; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, John Tanchevski.

 

Family and friends may visit on Monday, December 6, 2021 from 4:00-6:00 pm at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 10:00 am at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 265 W. Third Street. Burial will follow at Mansfield Cemetery.
