William Lepek

William Lepek, age 56 of Chicago, passed away peacefully after a long struggle with Spinocerebellar Ataxia. Beloved husband of Lynn nee Kosner. Adored father of Miranda and Jillian Lepek. Dear brother of Beth (Steve) Zachwieja, Mike (Therese) Lepek, Vicki (Tom) Serritella, and Kathy (Shaun) LeFevre. Son of the late Dennis and Joan (Aiello). Uncle, nephew, cousin and friend of many. In spite of his devastating diagnosis, Bill was known for his determination to live life to the fullest. He ran the full Chicago Marathon while in the disease’s early stages. After retiring from work in the tool and die industry, he found great joy as coach for his daughters’ softball teams in the ESAA. He will be remembered most for his home cooking, generous nature and tenacious spirit. Memorial donations may be made to the National Ataxia Foundation ataxia.org.
