William Kenneth Glover

William Kenneth Glover, loving husband, father, and papaw, passed away on December 30th, 2021.

He was born in Hendersonville to the late William Keith Glover and Emily Osteen Glover Jones. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Doris Lee Glover and Charles Glover; sister Kathleen Robinson; and his son-in-law Darrel Williams.

Kenneth, known as Ken to some, was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County. Although he lived what most would call a simple life, simple he was not. He was a very talented and gifted man in everything he did. His smile and infectious laugh will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him. He was a hard worker and always made sure his family was well provided for. Kenneth started his career as an auto paint and body man at Oates Paint and Body Shop in Hendersonville, later on having his own shop for many years in Spartanburg, along with his brothers, Doris Lee and Charles, and recently working together with his son, Scott, in Hendersonville. He was a true craftsman of his trade. Kenneth was an avid fisherman, all who knew him knew he loved being out on the lake. It was more than a hobby, and it brought him extreme joy and a getaway from his busy life.

Kenneth was married to the love of his life, Glenda, for over 63 wonderful years with whom he shared five children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kenneth was also a baptized Jehovah’s Witness and held onto his hope for eternal life until the end. He knew that Jehovah God will call him back to life, and he will answer.  (Job 14 : 14,15 )

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Glenda Glover; daughters, Pam Williams, Angie Curtis (Merritt), and Leshea Beddingfield ( Michael); sons, Scott Glover and Tracy Glover (Valarie); grandchildren Lauren Kilpatrick (Bryan), Kacie Given (Travis), Kalie Jernigan (Trevor), Spencer Curtis, Shelley Heaton (Brian), Hilary Brown (Colby), Skylar Lesser (Jeff), Sophie Mason (McKenzey), Karlie Medford, Dakota Finch, Peyton Finch, Abigail Finch, and Micah Finch; great-grandchildren Derek, Julia, Baileigh, Tyler, Brooklyn, Rhylie, Reese, Zavie, Raylan, Zoey, Ryder and Zander; brothers, Gallileo Jones, and Kimsey Jones (Pat); as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. All his family loved him with all their hearts and will miss him dearly. We are all thankful and blessed to have called him husband, dad, papaw, brother, uncle, and friend.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
