William Henry “Billy” Schirnding

William Henry “Billy” Schirnding, 73, of Springfield, died at 5:23 am, Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born March 30, 1948 in Springfield, IL to William Huber and Anne M. (Berry) Schirnding.

He is survived by his sister, Ann “Annie” Sims of Springfield; three nieces, Tina Sims, Jennifer Howard and Tracey Sims Kopecky; great nieces and nephews, Nicholas, Chole, Gabriel, Macey, Augustus and Alexander.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and brother-in-law, Bill Sims.

Billy was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Church.

Visitation: 12 – 1 pm Monday, November 15, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 1 pm, Monday, November 15, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Reverend Kevin Mann officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
