William C. Brookins

William C. Brookins, age 83 or Yorkville, IL passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion in Sandwich, IL. He was born on August 26, 1938 in St. Charles, IL the son of Willard and Laura (Eggert) Brookins.

Bill was united in marriage on October 8, 1982 to Susan Wagner and they have spent the next 39 years happily together. Mr. Brookins was a member of both St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Bill was employed as a Millwright, until his retirement, by Reynold Metal in McCook, IL. He was also a member of the Rivers Edge Men’s Club. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

Bill is survived by his wife, Susan Brookins of Yorkville, IL; his daughter, Carie (Mike) Rowe of Troy, OH; his grandsons, Kyle (Jocelynn) Rowe and Tyler Rowe; his great-grandchildren, Luxon, Zoe, Harper, Holden, MaKayla, MaKenzi and Tanner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Laura Brookins.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 406 Walnut Street, Yorkville, IL. Interment will be held in the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Oak Brook Terrace, IL.
