William “Bud” Harold Cross

William “Bud” Harold Cross, 64, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at St. Louis University Hospital. He was born July 2, 1957, in McLeansboro, the son of James and Mary (Parkhill) Cross. He married Ellen M. Findlow October 14, 1978 and she survives.

Also surviving are four daughters, Jaime (Rory) Isaac, Tiffany (Jeremy) Hendricks, Michelle (Clinton) Watkins, and Terri Jo (Aaron) Clayton; six grandchildren, Ryker and Clara Isaac, Micah and Lucas Watkins, Adelaide Clayton, and Maggie Hendricks; four sisters, Viola (Rusty) Nolen, Betty (Mike) Oliver, Pauline (Janice Franklin) Bellamy, and Mary Jo (Keith) Kline; and one brother, James “JD” (Jeannie) Cross.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Kay Blain.

Bud was a member of Grace Church. He worked at Big R in Taylorville and TSC.

Visitation: 4 – 6 pm, Tuesday July 20, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 6 pm, Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Dave Fox officiating.

Graveside Service: 1:00 pm, Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Middle Creek Cemetery in Dahlgren, IL with Rory Isaac officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Church or Middle Creek Cemetery.
