William “Bill” John Isham
William “Bill” John Isham 84, of Springfield, died at 9:25 am on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born February 25, 1938 in Normal, to Gordon and Mary (Law) Isham. He married Carolyn Jean Buck on November 12, 1965 and she survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Aimee Isham of Springfield; two sons, David (Jo Ann) Isham of Springfield and Keil Isham (Partner, Erin Darnell) of Springfield; five grandchildren Abby, Blu and Brady Isham, and Jeremy and Sonny Steinhauer and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jean Baumgardner and brother, James Isham.
He retired from Trinity Lutheran School in Custodial and Maintenance.
Bill was a member of United States Army National Guard from 1954 – 1964. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and Sangamon County Watercolor Society. Bill enjoyed woodworking, playing the guitar, artwork, being outdoors, nature, and animals. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Visitation: 4-6 pm, Thursday, December 8, 2022 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Springfield.
Funeral Service: 11 am, Friday, December 9, 2022 at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Greg Busboom officiating.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Grace Lutheran Church Food Pantry, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
