Wilford Clark Jr

Wilford Clark Jr., age 80, of Akron transitioned home to be with the lord on September 2, 2021. He was born in Clayton, Alabama on October 25, 1940, to the late Wilford Sr. and Nellie Clark.
Wilford graduated from Howard High and retired from Ford Motor Company. Wilford came to know the lord at an early age, and he was a member of Zion Pentecostal Church of God where he served on the minister board for over 20 years. He previously was a member of Livingstone Apostolic church.

Wilford was known by many names, Billy, Mr. Clark, Uncle Billy but most all as Popp’s. No matter where we were, it never failed that he would run into someone he knew. Wilford was the most kind and gentle soul one could meet; he would give the shirt off his back if you needed it.

Wilford was a loving husband to his wife, Sandra Clark, of 57 years. He missed her dearly every day until their reunion on September 2, 2021. He enjoyed working on cars, going to car shows, watching basketball, and shooting pool. He also enjoyed going for a drive, sitting in the back yard with his close friend, reminiscing, watching the grandkids sporting events, and most of all he loved every moment with his family.

Preceding him in the sunsets are his parents, Wilford Sr., and Nellie Clark; son Wilford Clark III; daughter, Crystal Clark; wife, Sandra Clark.
Wilford leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Bilford (Pat) Clark, Steve (Ann) Clark; daughters, Mercita Clark, and Kimberly Clark; grandchildren, Jennifer (Torence), Dakur, Tresaun, Taleya (Tiara), Alexis ,Shakoree, Javaughn, Neahmiah,Eraina, Eyrnn, Erica, Darric, Rande, Wilford IV, Mark, Mario, Kimberlynne, and Keana; great-grandchildren, Neveah, Madison, Torence Jr. A’zariah, A’kaiah, Ah’reign, Christian, Elijah, Dana, Deliah, Diane, Trenton, Trevynn, Trenitee; sisters, Mary Alice Ricks, Jewell Nettie Henderson and very close friend Roe.
