Wendy Sue (Krebs) Scheer, 70, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Monday, November 13, 2023, at Living Center West in Cedar Rapids. Funeral Service: 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2023, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, with visitation to begin one hour prior. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Wendy was born July 19, 1953, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Alvin and Ruth Ann (Stout) Krebs. She graduated from Kennedy High School. Wendy was united in marriage to Dean David Scheer on Nov. 6, 1982, in Cedar Rapids. She worked for St. Luke’s Hospital, Goodwill and was a member of First Lutheran Church. Wendy enjoyed all the friends and fellowship she experienced at work and church. She adored dolls and liked collecting. Wendy loved to celebrate birthdays and holidays, especially Christmas. Wendy liked watching TV and classic westerns. She loved her cats, her family. Wendy will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Dean Scheer of Cedar Rapids; siblings, Jackie Wilhelm of Cedar Rapids, Steve (Diane) Krebs of Solon, Iowa, and Brian Krebs of Cedar Rapids; brothers-in-law, Harold (Eunice) Scheer of Hills, Iowa, John (Sue) Scheer of Ashland, Missouri, and Mark (Ruth Ann) Scheer, of Lisbon, Iowa; nephew, Michael (Toni) Loyal of Cedar Rapids, and niece, Susan (Jon) Hickey, Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Wendy was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Paula Ruth Krebs; niece, Bethany Redlinger; and brother-in-law, Gordon Wilhelm..
