Walter Charles Broderdorf
Walter Charles Broderdorf, age 88, of Crossville, TN was called home by his Dear Lord on July 25, 2023. He was born on July 21, 1935, in Detroit, MI. Walter was the son of John Carl and Mary Helen (Fryer) Broderdorf.
Walter graduated from the University of Detroit and proudly served as an Officer in the United States Air Force Strategic Air Command. Walter enjoyed attending church, being with his family and a good dessert.
Walter “Walt” was united in marriage to Jean “Kay” Stork on May 10, 1980. They spent 30 years together until Kay’s death. Walter was a loving and devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his Family and Friends.
Walter is survived by his children Cheryl (Michael) Seweryn, David (Vennassa) Broderdorf and Susan (Ralph) Arnouil, his grandchildren Elizabeth (Bob) Simms, Nicole (Matt) Ritirato, Dana Arnouil, Ericka (Christopher) Prada and Benjamin Broderdorf, Sharline (Patrick) Good, Wendee (Bobby) Renehan and Keith Stork Jr., his Great Grandchildren and also by his Sister Shirley Clark and many nieces and nephews.
Walter was preceded in death by his wife Kay, his parents, his sister Ellen and his stepson Keith Stork Sr.”
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, August 4, 2023 at the Union Congregational Church United Church of Christ, 305 South Gage Street, Somonauk, IL. Interment will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich, IL.
Friends may visit from 9:30 until 11:00 am on Friday, August 4, 2023 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1275 South Countyline Road, Sandwich, IL.
