Wallace William Ramsier of Jeromesville, passed away late Saturday evening, November 6, 2021, at Arbors of Mifflin at the age of 98.

He was born December 19, 1922, in Sterling, Ohio, one of nine children of the late Elizabeth (Bachman) and Benjamin Franklin Ramsier. Wallace was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a self-employed dairy farmer. Over a span of 25 years, he had refurbished 850 sewing machines which he converted to treadle machines where they could be used in third world countries. His children and grandchildren were his greatest joys and he prayed for all of them.

He is survived by ten children, Karen (Pete) Baltic, Darlene (Larry) Enderle, Jeff (Cheri) Ramsier, Deb (Don) Jones, Cliff (Lynn) Ramsier, Jolene Ramsier, Brenda (Wayne) Herrmann, Joyce (Milan) Germaine, Carol (Lonnie) Browne and Todd (Stephanie) Ramsier; twenty-six grandchildren; forty-six great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Inez Ramsier and Dorothy Ramsier; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Helen J. Oesch Ramsier, whom he married on September 30, 1944; son, Brad Ramsier; daughter, Marcia Ramsier; great-grandson, Trevor Beer; four sisters; and four brothers.
