Virginia Wyatt Jaggers

Mrs. Virginia Jaggers Wyatt, 71, of Fayetteville, NC passed away peacefully on Monday, February 21, 2022, at her home after a long illness.
Virginia was a native of Cumberland County. She was born on July 13, 1950, to the late Harold Jaggers and Savannah Pearson Jaggers. Virginia was raised in Hope Mills and was a graduate of Hope Mills High School. She has a surviving sister, Roberta McCarter of Illinois.
Virginia and her husband, Wayne, the son of Rickman O. Wyatt and Catherine Lyda Wyatt, were married in Dillon, SC on May 10, 1968.
Virginia worked as a telephone operator, real estate broker, financial consultant, and finally a cosmetologist.
Her greatest accomplishments were raising and mentoring her two children, taking care of the home, and supporting her military husband throughout his 30-year career.
Virginia is survived by her husband of 53 years, CSM Wayne O. Wyatt, Sr., USA (Ret.), originally from Edneyville, NC; daughter, Kimberly Erazo of Virginia Beach, VA; and son, Wayne O. Wyatt, Jr. of Bluefield, VA.
Virginia is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Virginia loved to dance, shag, ride her horse, Ginger, which by the way, was her nickname. She also loved to read, especially poetry, and watch old movies.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Home Instead and Pruitt Hospice for the excellent care. They are truly angles!
A visitation will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Edneyville, NC on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, from 1 to 2PM with the funeral service to follow at 2PM. Father Kevin Todd is officiating. A graveside service will immediately follow at St. Paul’s Community Cemetery.
