Virginia M. Morell (nee Berset) 96, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Inurnment of cremated remains will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 11, 2021 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Virginia was born December 27, 1924 in Sherman, Texas to Edward Berset and Emma Westlund Berset. She graduated from Cloquet High School in Cloquet, MN, Class of 42. She attended nursing school at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Denver, CO where she received her RN license in 1946. She served in the US Army as a 2nd Lt. and was released in July 46. She married Ted R. Morell on July 15, 1946 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She had three sons, Michael, Patrick, and Joseph and was married for 69 years.
Virginia enjoyed tennis, golf, bridge and walking. Her family remembers her for amazing gift of hospitality. She was a competitive athlete and loved to participate in Pecan Plantation’s tournaments. The family suggests a donation to Pecan Plantation Emergency Medical Services.
SURVIVORS: Children, Dr. Michael and Liza (Shirley) Morell of Granbury, TX, Dr. Patrick and Deborah (Armbruster) Morell, of Woodinville, WA, Joseph and Beth (Herde) Morell of Bella Vista, AR; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren , and sister, Maxine Hennum.
