Virginia “Ginny” Malouf

Virginia “Ginny” E. Malouf (nee Vern), age 89, died peacefully after a brief battle with cancer. Born June 26, 1932 in Chicago to Clarence and Charlotte Vern, passed December 06, 2021. Ginny married Art, the love of her life, on September 13, 1952 and they enjoyed 63 years together before Art’s passing in 2015.

She was a 1950 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Chicago. She was preceded in death by her daughter Debbie Humphries, her grandchildren Brett and Evan Humphries and her sisters Dolores Parker and Carol Wills.

She is survived by her children Diane (Dennis) O’Neil, Mark (Jayne Morava), Maureen (Bob) Gleixner, Scott, Peggy (Ken) Miller, Steve (Kelly McConnell), son-in-law Donn Humphries and daughter-in-law Cindy Hennings Malouf; along with 25 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.

She was employed by Dominick’s in Arlington Heights for over 30 years. Ginny enjoyed traveling with Art, bingo, crossword puzzles and was a life-long Cub fan.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2021 3PM to 8PM at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy, Palatine. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 10am at St. Theresa Church, 455 N. Benton St., Palatine. Interment at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.
