Virginia Freda Morgan

Virginia Freda Merrell Morgan, 86, of Edneyville, NC, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021, at Pardee Hospital.  She was born in Henderson County to the late Linzy Merrell and Fay Freeman Merrell.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Charles Arledge (C.A.) Morgan; sister, Lois Ardron; and brother, Luther Merrell.

Virginia was employed by General Electric and was a member of Valley Hill Church.  She dearly loved her family and enjoyed knitting, canning, basket weaving, and quilting.

She is survived by her daughters, Gail Nesbitt and husband Gary; sons, Stanley Morgan and wife Vicki, Randy Morgan and wife Kelly, Keith Morgan and wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Amy Tolentino, Erin Vest, Colby and Kyle Morgan, Nicole Lowe, Audra Morgan, and Jesse Morgan; great-grandchildren, Della Tolentino and Bailey Vest; sisters, Shelby Jean Jennings, Mary Lou Cannon, Elaine Osteen, Shirley Sexton; and brother, Harvey Merrell.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at one o’clock p.m. at Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery in Zirconia with the Reverend Nathan Byrd officiating.
