Violet Louise Wright
- May 3, 2021
Violet Louise Wright “Memo”, born February 24, 1962 in Tucson, Arizona, passed away April 28, 2021 in Tyler, Texas.
Violet worked for Texas Parks and Wildlife for more than 28 years serving in various roles at Dinosaur Valley State Park and ending her service as Auditor III in the Tyler office for multiple parks within the agency. Her passion for the outdoors made her job effortless and immensely fulfilling to her. She had an innate ability to connect with people. She possessed a nurturing demeanor and to say she was loved by everyone that had the privilege to cross paths with her is an understatement. She cherished the solitude and serenity that accompanied long walks in the park. She considered it a privilege to have the beautiful, peaceful Texas parks as her office.
While Violet excelled in all she did within her endeavors at work, absolutely nothing was more important in life to her than family. She was a devoted sister to her brothers and maintained lifelong friendships throughout her time on earth. The pride with which she considered her role as a mother and a grandmother was undeniably vast. With an immense amount of delight and jubilation she would share stories about her son Trent and his wife Kelly and her daughter Bonnie and her husband Brad. Her inability to share about her children without a huge, radiant smile would readily transmit the love and adoration she felt for them. Her grandchildren added a whole new dimension to these affections she shared with others, and she considered her role as “Memo” to Amelia, Wesley, Charlie, Jace, Cole and Luke as her greatest honor. You could count on any free time Violet had being spent with any of her grandchildren and visiting family. Nothing brought her greater joy.
Anyone who had the opportunity to spend time with Violet became acutely aware of the caring, loving and humble spirit she possessed. She was blessed with the unique ability to connect with others in a way that gave people a sense of ease and comfort, and it was evident in every aspect of her character. People were naturally drawn to her altruistic nature and words cannot adequately express how much she treated everyone she encountered with kindness and empathy.
Violet was preceded in death by her parents Douglas and Josephine Wright and nephew Robert Wright.
Violet leaves behind brother David Wright of Massachusetts, brother and sister-in-law Danny and Belinda Wright and nephew Travis Wright of Granbury, Texas, son and daughter-in-law Trent and Kelly Sandlin of Nemo, Texas, daughter and son-in-law Bonnie and Bradley Whitmore of Star Valley Ranch, Wyoming, and six grandchildren, Jace, Cole and Luke Sandlin, and Amelia, Wesley and Charlie Whitmore.
I love you bunches, not just bits.
