Vickie J. Gardiner

Vickie J. Gardiner, 64, of Sherman, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at her home.  She was born September 12, 1957 in Springfield, IL to Charles E. and Joan (Pilcher) DeLong.  She married Robert “Bob” J. Gardiner on August 6, 1977 and he survives.

She is also survived by one son, Robert “BJ” (Kari) Gardiner of Sherman; two grandchildren, Natalie and Braidin Gardiner of Sherman; one sister, Patricia “Pat” DeLong of Springfield; two brothers, Michael (Debbie) DeLong of Palm Harbor, FL, and Dino (Dianna) DeLong of Chatham; father-in-law Robert (Donna) Gardiner of Sherman; two sisters-in-law, Kathleen (Dan) Ervin of Sherman and Kathryn (Dan) Rafferty of La Vergne, TN.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Raymond M. Gardiner.

Vickie lived in Sherman for over 35 years and provided for her family as a homemaker. She loved her family very much and absolutely adored her grandkids.

Cremation will be accorded by Staab Funeral Home – Sherman and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
