Verle Burdette Miller passed peacefully in his sleep on April 26, 2023. He was born on April 6, 1936, to Samuel and Gladys Miller and graduated from Marion High School in 1954. On Sept. 16, 1956, Verle married his lifelong partner Janice Price of Coggon. Verle owned Miller Trucking before co-owning Marion Feed & Grain, which later became the Marion True Value Farm & Home Center. Verle and Janice saw the world together and enjoyed spending their winters in Palm Springs, Calif., for many years after retiring. Verle always had a passion for cars and was a member of the Antique Automobile Car Club for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Janice; daughter, Renata (Doug) Loveless; son, Brandon (Kelly) Miller; daughter, Morika (Zach) VanLoan; five grandchildren, Keyia Phelps, Parker Loveless, Kayse Loveless, Hayden VanLoan and Halston VanLoan; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Becky Jo; his parents, Samuel and Gladys Miller; and his sister, LaVonne Hudson.
No funeral services are planned. A Celebration of Life will be held later this summer.
