- January 31, 2022
Verica Bogolis, age 74, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Avita Health System-Ontario Hospital.
She was born August 15, 1947, in Ljubojno, Macedonia, to the late Veselinka (Stefanovich) and Jonche Tomulevski. Vera was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses on Middle-Bellville Road. She would talk about God’s kingdom to anyone who would listen. She was a very giving person, willing to sacrifice anything for anyone, and was a shining example of God’s love. Vera’s family was her life, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed telling family stories and knew her family history well. She had the ability to set people at ease and could strike up a conversation with anyone and became friends with strangers.
Vera enjoyed gardening, cooking, hosting meals, traveling, drawing and was a very good artist. She was an excellent seamstress. One of her favorite pastimes was blueberry picking and roasting peppers. Vera had an amazing collection of shells, rocks, buttons, calendars, maps and recipes.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, William Bogolis, whom she married September 27, 1964; four children, Christ (Ingrid) Bogolis of Concord, NC, Robert Bogolis of West Chester, OH, Victoria (Mark) Westley of San Luis Obispo, CA, and Lorie of Mansfield; eight grandchildren, Keegan and Nikolas Bogolis, Ethan, Waverly and Ariana Landon, and Verissa, Linnea and Melanie Westley; three siblings, Mileva (George) Ristevski, Nikola Tomulevski and Lila Simovski; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Veselinka Stefanovich; father and step mother, Jonche and Luba Tomulevski; and sister, Menche Tomulevski.
A memorial service will be held over Zoom at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 1780 Middle-Bellville Rd., Mansfield, OH 44904. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
