Vejau Denise Hawkins was born on December 4, 1956 to the late, Nanette Taylor and John Henry Hawkins in Detroit, Michigan. She was a beautiful bundle of joy.
She attended the Detroit Public Schools System until the loss of her parents. She then moved to Cleveland, Ohio to continue her education.
After high school, Vejau went on to nursing school at Cleveland Works where she received her Nursing Assistant Certificate.
She loved to help people and it brought her great pleasure to know she made a positive difference in many people lives.
Vejau is the daughter of the late, Nanette Taylor and John Henry Hawkins. She is also preceded in death by her grandmother, Idima Brown; brother, Dwight Taylor; sisters, Elaine Taylor and Willa Hawkins; grandchildren, Jazmine Warr, Nevaeh Warr, A. P. Warr.
Vejau leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Robert K. Warr, Nikia Warr, Christine Warr, Shanea Gay- Warr, Joyce Chaney- Warr; God-son, Shawn Griffin; grandchildren, Isaiah warr, Imani Brown, Kurtis Jennings Jr., David Williams, Kai Warr, Antonio Booze ll., Antaneyia Booze, Robert A. Warr, Antwon Booze, Antonio E.I. Booze, Adryana Redd, Kamryn Redd; great-grandchildren, Kaiser Elias- Carter Berry, Kingston Aaron Carlton; brothers, James Woodall- Taylor and Eddie Miles Taylor, of Detroit Michigan; sister in-law, Dorthy Taylor of Detroit; best friend, (sister) Dollina Griffin; special cousins, Rev. Virginia Broadinax- Nell Rogers, The whole Rogers family, The Ashton family, The Rozier family; 10 nieces, Angel Taylor, Dwanna, Taylor, Elonda, Flynn, Shauntay, Davis, Rosland, Hawkins. 16 great nieces; 9 nephews; 18 great nephews; and a host of family and friends.
