Valerie Lynn Hester

Valerie Lynn Hester was born on April 28, 1960, in Columbus, Ohio to Betty Jean Diggs and Clarence Diggs Sr, both proceeded her in death. Valerie attend Columbus Ohio public school systems. On February 14, 1980 Valerie married the love of her life Ricky Charles Lynch to that union one child was born Rickie Lynn Lynch, Ricky also raised Antonio Lamont Lyons as his own son.
Valerie moved to Cleveland Ohio in 1990 where her journey began, under the leadership of Apostle Barbara A. Dillard. Valerie managed a house for woman who were broken. She was a role model to many and was firm in her beliefs that if she could do it, so can you. That was over 31years ago.
In 1995 Valerie was one of the core members Of Miracles Spiritual Retreat which mission is to help others to get a closer relationship with God and to find forgiveness for yourself and others. Valerie love to entertain she performed in many of Miracle’s productions such as Hitsville, God Blocked it and The Gift at Cleveland Playhouse Square. Valerie often blessed us with a praise dance, she had many gifts and talents.
Valerie’s love for cooking and being bossy transformed into many years of dietary management positions. She was employed at Beachwood nursing home, Solon Pointe and Anna Maria of Aurora. Valerie had the pleasure of employing many of her friends and Miracle’s family members children, where many are still there today.
Valerie’s sense of humor was warmly felt by those who had the pleasure of being in her presence. Valerie fought a good fight, she kept the faith and kept Heaven in her view. Her warm smile and stern determination will be missed.
She leaves to celebrate her life, two children Antonio Lamont Lyons and Rickie Nicole Lynch, her two brothers, Clarence Clifford Diggs Jr. and Todd Anthony Diggs, Granddaughter Aiyona Diggs and great grandson, Rhome Lester. Preceded her in death, her grandmother Ida Mae Bibbs, her parents, Clarence Clifford Diggs Sr. and Betty Jean, 2 brothers Gregory Hester and Keith Rodney Diggs. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. A special thanks to Delilah Bell Fowler, Tamra Parrish, Sheila Gale, Celeste Ward, Kathy Starr, Ricky Lynch and my Miracle Family, which is too numerous to mention, that have walked by my side through this amazing journey.
