Ulen Smith Mullenix

Ulen Mullenix of Granbury, Texas, passed away peacefully 4/5/2023.

Ulen was born in Irvine, Kentucky in 1933, the only child of Henry and Thelma Mullenix. Following high school in Louisville Kentucky, Ulen attended University of Louisville and worked for the Federal Reserve and American Airlines where he met and married the love of his life, Sally, in 1957. Following many years in Northern Kentucky, they moved to Fort Worth and most recently to Granbury, Texas.

Ulen worked for State Farm Insurance for more than 30 years and was a proud member of the Lion’s Club. He and Sally enjoyed their world travels and after retirement spent many years traveling in their motorhome seeing friends and family throughout the United States and Canada.

Ulen was predeceased by his wife Sally and his parents. He is survived by his daughter Michele (Rick) Wilkerson, his grandchildren Kathryn Wilkerson (Desmond Foster), Austin Wilkerson (Nicole), great-grandson Logan, great grand-daughter Josie, and step-great-grand-daughter Audrey.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Episcopal Church Granbury, 4530 Acton Hwy, Granbury, TX 76049, (817.326.6074) or a charity of choice. At his request, no service is planned.
