Tom L. Peyton

Tom L. Peyton, 72, of Mansfield, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at his residence. Born November 16, 1948 in Crestline, Ohio, he was the son of Lloyd Peyton and Phyllis (Keith) Ohler.
A veteran of the United States Army, Tom retired from Bosch in Ashland where he worked as a tool and die maker. He also taught the vocation of tool and die at North Central State College for eight years. Tom, who didn’t know a stranger, loved going to auctions and flea markets to find treasures especially antiques. He also loved to boat and fish on Lake Erie. Tom enjoyed traveling especially on cruises and to Florida.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Penny (Keaton) Peyton; his son, Tim Peyton; his granddaughter, Miranda Peyton; his mother, Phyllis Ohler; his brother, Glenn (Jane) Peyton, his brother-in-law, Scott Kelly; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and his aunt, Mary Stickney.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd; a sister, Jane Kelly; and his step father, Ed Ohler.
A gathering will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2021, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Life Celebration Reception Center, 129 South Main Street, Mansfield. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
