Todd E. Lewis, 52, of Cedar Rapids passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice Center. A visitation will be held Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 4 to 7 PM at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will begin at 1:30 PM on Friday, December 29th at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Inurnment will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include Todd’s two children Skylar and Makailli, both of Cedar Rapids; a brother Eric, and many close cousins also in Cedar Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack E. Lewis, Jr., and Marcia L. Lewis.
Todd was born on January 20, 1971, in San Bernardino, California. Son to Jack and Marcia, he graduated from Washington High School, Class of 1989. He later went on to pursue his love of basketball at Iowa Lakes through 1991, then continued at the University of Northern Iowa through 1995. When he was not playing basketball, you could find him on the golf course.
He loved the social scene and made many of his friends starting on campus at Sharkys. Later coming back to Cedar Rapids where he entertained and hosted many of his friends at Confettis, Star Bar, All Stars, and would help the family businesses of Winnifred’s, Xavier’s, RG Books, and Vito’s grow.
Todd always had a smile on his face and memories to share. Those he chose to spend his time with meant the most to him.
Memorials may be made for funeral expenses, and directed to his daughter, Makailli Whitters.
