Thomas V. Butler, age 86, of Palatine IL. Former husband to the late Lois Butler and the late Mary Butler. Special friend to Lesley Bergman. Devoted father to Majorie (Kris) Kulseth, Catherine (Nicholas) Daleiden, and the late Thomas Jr., the late Patrick (Janet), and the late Charles Butler. Cherished grandpa and “Papa” to Matthew (Deirdrea) Butler, Jessica (Matthew) Hurley, Kayla Kulseth, Nicholas Kulseth, Katy Daleiden, Kelly Daleiden, Gina Daleiden, and Anna Daleiden. Adored great grandpa to Stella, Aubrey, and Rhys. Dear brother to Carol, Jack, Jerry, Paul, and the late Charles. Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Tom was one of the last of his kind that valued faith, family and hard work. A true good Samaritan that will be missed by many. He was an active volunteer throughout his parish and community, and supported many philanthropic organizations too numerous to mention.
A visitation will be held, Thursday August 26, 2021 at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy. Palatine IL from 4:00-8:00pm. A mass will be held Friday, August 27, at St. Theresa Parish, 455 N. Benton St. Palatine IL at 11:00AM. Interment St. John Nepomucene Cemetery.
