Thomas “Tom” C. Ippolito

Thomas “Tom” C. Ippolito, 78, of Riverton, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at his home. He was born September 4, 1943, the son of Pasquale and Elizabeth (Marx) Ippolito and they preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death are one sister, Elizabeth Jockisch; and two brothers, William and Vito Ippolito.
Survivors include one nephew, Bill Ippolito of Springfield; one niece, Patricia (Ed) Ippolito Taft of Springfield; one sister-in-law, Doris (wife of brother, Bill) Ippolito of Riverton; two great nephews, Ross (Ciera) Taft and Ben Taft; several cousins; and many good friends.
Thomas belonged to St. James Catholic Church. He was a huge motor enthusiast, enjoying motorcycles and cars, especially Porsches. He was mechanically inclined and able to fix just about anything. He loved to travel around the world. He was always able to put a smile on the faces of others and could brighten anyone’s day.
Visitation: 10:30 am – 12:30 pm, Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Sherman.
Funeral Service: 12:30 pm, Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Sherman, with Reverend Raphael Paul DeMoreno officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.
