Thomas S. Beam
Thomas S. Beam, 83, of Springfield died at 11:50 am, Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at his home from COVID related issues. He was born July 21, 1939 in Springfield, IL, the son of Robert M. and H. Natalie (Cummins) Beam, Sr. He married Rosemary Nonneman March 26, 1978.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; two sisters-in-law, Judy (John, Jr.) Hiler and Nancy Downey, both of Springfield; 8 nieces and nephews; 11 great nieces and nephews and several great great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert Beam, Jr.
Thomas was a self-employed mechanic for over 60 years. He was a sculptor and won 3rd place at the Illinois State Fair sculpture contest in 1997. He has two metal sculptures on display: a hummingbird at Chatham Library and a butterfly at the Hazel Dell Butterfly Garden. He was one of the only male members of the Women’s Art Alliance in Springfield, IL.
No services will be held.
