Thomas Leo Brown

Thomas Leo Brown, 88, of Mansfield, passed away at his home on Sunday, December 5, 2021. Thomas was born on December 15, 1932 in Columbus, Ohio. He was the son of Robert and Mary (Morris) Brown.

 

Thomas was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. He was a member of St. Mary’s of the Snows Catholic Church. He was the past President of Mansfield Equipment and Cleveland Tractor, and an owner operator over the road truck driver. A very devoted family man, Thomas was very generous to his family and was always willing to help with anything they needed. He had a love for traveling, and he greatly enjoyed to fly so much that he had his private pilots license. He was a member of Guild Athletic Club. An avid reader, Thomas could always be found reading a great book or the newspaper. Thomas had a love for trains.

 

He leaves behind his children, Teresa Lynn (James) Pack, Leo J. Brown, and Lisa J. (John) Webb; his grandchildren, Seth J. Pack, Colin Thomas (Jackie) Pack, Louis A. (Sophia) Brown, Andrew J. (Diana) Brown, Laura E. (Thomas) Buena, Joseph L. Brown, Marissa Lynn Brown, Sarah E. Webb, Olivia Lynn Webb, and Jack Thomas Webb; his great-grandchildren, Maverick Buena, Colt Buena, and Owen Brown; and his sisters, Mary K. Hosfeld, Peggi Scholl, and Ellen Hockman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Lynn Jane Boggs Brown; his son, Timothy L. Brown; and a brother, Robert J. Brown.

 

Private family services will be observed. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to St. Mary’s of the Snows Catholic Church, 1630 Ashland Rd. Mansfield, OH 44905 or Southern Care Hospice, 775 Lexington Ave. Mansfield, OH 44907. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the Brown family.
