Thomas Jeffery Clark, 65, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Visitation: 4 – 7 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2024, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Tom was born on August 16, 1958, to Danny and Janice (Phillips) Clark. He attended Prairie High School and achieved his diploma in the United States Marine Corps, joining in March of 1976. Boy was he proud to be a Marine! SEMPER FI!!!
Prior to retirement, Tom was a proud 26-year member of Carpenters Local 308. If you ever got the pleasure of hanging with Tom in the garage, tipping back a few, you were a fortunate one! One of Tom’s greatest joys was to hang in the garage with family and friends, listening to music and Tom shaking the tambourine. So much laughter and so many hilarious memories have been made.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Crystal; their sons, Jesse and Justin (Melissa); his brothers, Ty, Tim (Barb), Dan (Lori), Ned (Michelle); sisters, Connie Preuss (Dirk) and Kim Polton (Tim); his mother and father-in-law, Bud and Bev Carnahan; sister-in-law, Lynnette Descourouez; many nieces and nephews; and his fur babies, Tank and Willow.
Tom was proceeded in death by his parents, Janice and Danny Clark; brother, Tony; nephew, Jake; sister-in-law, Carey Carnahan; and his fur baby, Hank.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Danny Leonard for his relentless care for Tom. The brotherhood you two shared was very important to him.
Thank you to all the angels at hospice and to everyone who has stopped by, brought food or shared laughter. You are all greatly appreciated.
Memorials can be directed to the family.
