Thelma Louise Morris Washburn
- September 10, 2021
After a long illness (not Covid), Thelma Louise Washburn went to her Heavenly home on Monday, September 6, 2021. She was born December 10, 1925 in Madison, GA, the daughter of Edward F. Morris and Irene Duke Morris.
J.W. Washburn and Louise were married and resided many happy years in Birmingham, Alabama where she was employed as an accountant by the Jefferson County School System. After retiring, she came to live in Hendersonville, NC, residing at the Oaks, and later at the Life Care Center.
In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Washburn, and three sisters. She is survived by her brothers, Waymon L. Morris (wife, Deirdre), of Hendersonville, and Charlie M. Morris (wife, Geraldine), of Sun City West, Arizona; and many nephews and nieces, a special one of whom is Mary Davis Gage (husband, Michael), along with grand-niece, Anya Louise Davis.
Louise’s love of children was boundless. Throughout her life, she embraced and showered love upon many children.
As Louise wished, a Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Madison Georgia City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to a charity of the Donor’s choice.
