Terry L. Daugherty, 79, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, December 2nd, 2021 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born November 11th, 1942 in Springfield, to Allison and Charlene Moss Daugherty. He married Virginia Lee Valenti on June 1st, 1963 and she survives.
Also surviving are three children, Brian (Suzanne) Daugherty of Rochester, Dena (Todd) Cheek of Chatham and Kerri (Michael) Finley of Chatham; four grandkids, Braelynn Finley, Vincent Finley, Drake Cheek, and Allison Daugherty; three brothers, Larry Daugherty of Edinburg, Jerry (Dena) Daugherty of Mechanicsburg and Donald (Linda) Daugherty of Kilbourne; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Terry was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church. He was a US Army Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. He was a meter reader for CWLP for thirty years, retiring on June 25th, 1999.
One of Terry’s favorite past-times was spending time with his grandkids. He was also an avid golfer, enjoyed bowling, playing horseshoes, and working in his yard. He was known to love chocolate so much, he was coined a “Chocaholic” by many…
Visitation: 11 am – 1 pm Wednesday, December 8th, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Graveside Service: 2 pm, Wednesday, December 8th, 2021 at Camp Butler National Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the Inter-Veterans Burial Detail and the United States Army.
