Teri L. Smolak

Teri L. Smolak, 48, of Dennison, passed away in Mercy Medical Center at Canton following complications of Covid-19.
Born in Dover on January 30, 1973, she was the daughter of Terry Weaver and the late Annabella (Mercer) Harding.
After completing her formal education, she spent her professional career as a cashier with Walmart for more than 27 years.
Teri married her husband of 25 years, Christopher Smolak, on April 13, 1996. Together, they were blessed with the birth of their two children, Skyler Christopher and Sierra Nicole, both of Dennison. Teri was a faithful wife and mother who enjoyed watching her children grow into wonderful adults. She will long be remembered for making delicious fudge, playing games, and her love of reading. Teri also enjoyed watching Days of Our Lives.
In addition to Christopher and her children, Teri is survived by her father and step-mother, Terry and Betsy Weaver of Gnadenhutten; her sister, Brenda (Mark) Mowrer of Greeneville, TN and their son, Devin; her “adopted daughter” Jocelyn Marie Braun-Abbuhl; her sister-in-law, Rose Stanley of Marblehead, OH; her uncle and aunt, Gary and Sarah Mercer; step-sister, Angie Gray; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother; her infant brother, Rocky Weaver; and her brother-in-law, Tim Stanley.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 4 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home Chapel. Father Jeff Coning will lead a service for Teri beginning at 5 p.m.
