Sylvia Ann Hayley Patterson

Sylvia Ann Hayley Patterson, 83, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 in Granbury. She was born October 7, 1937 in Seymour, TX. to John Rufus and Ursey Catherine Gore Hayley.

 

Sylvia and Leonard Waymon “Buddy” Patterson were married on June 23, 1956 in Seymour. They resided in White Settlement from 1963 to 1982 before retiring to Granbury. She retired from Lockheed Martin.

 

She was a member of Olive Place Baptist Church in Fort Worth and a member of the Praise Band at the church. Sylvia was also a member of the Red Hats and she was a prior Chaplain for the Fort Worth Elks Lodge. She loved reading and singing and was in the choir at Seymour High School.

 

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, and by two brothers, Glenn Hayley and John Ed Hayley.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Barbee Lynn Jaynes and husband Jimmy of Ft Worth; son, Eddy Don Patterson and wife Claudia of Granbury, son, Leonard Waymon Patterson, Jr. and wife Becky of White Settlement; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy Massie and husband Kenneth of Granbury; and a brother, Jerry Don Hayley of Frisco.

 

Visitation will be from 5:00pm. to 7:00pm. Friday; March 26, 2021 at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.

 

Funeral services will be held 3:00pm. Saturday; March 27, 2021 at Olive Place Baptist Church, 3283 Olive Place in Fort Worth, 76116. Graveside services and burial will follow at Holly Hills Memorial Park in Granbury under the direction of Wiley Funeral Home of Granbury.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 3, 2021 at the Ft Worth Elks Lodge located at 3233 White Settlement Rd. Ft Worth TX from 2:00 – 5:00 pm.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
