Suzanne Helene Schneider Schreck

Suzanne Helene Schneider Schreck, 78, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, peacefully passed away April 7, 2022, at Mission Hospital while surrounded by her beloved husband and son.

Born in Watertown, New York, to the late John and Helene Schneider; she later moved to Raleigh, North Carolina. She and her husband Carl are members at Trinity Presbyterian Church of Hendersonville. Sue inherited her parents’ love of camping and skiing. She also won ribbons at the county fair for needlepoint and later crocheted socks for soldiers with her neighbors. She loved watching hockey from the minor leagues to her Carolina Hurricanes, and often attended their practice skates. Since moving to the mountains, the Sunday playdates with her grandchildren were the highlight of the week for everyone.

Left to cherish Suzanne’s memory are her loving husband of fifty-two years Carl James Schreck, Jr.; Carl “C.J.” Schreck III and his wife Mary of Weaverville, NC; three grandchildren Noah (8), Eleanor (6) and Meaghan (4); and a brother John T. Schneider and his wife Virginia.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm, April 16, 2022, at the Trinity Presbyterian Church of Hendersonville, 900 Blythe Street.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the LGS Foundation, https://www.lgsfoundation.org/, to help cure epilepsy in children like her grandson Noah.
