With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Susan (Kurth) Hanson, on August 3, 2025.

A celebration of life will be at noon August 9 at Johnson Family Funeral Home in Earlham, Iowa. A burial will be at a later date.

Sue was born on August 7, 1960 in Monticello, Iowa. She met her husband, Dale Hanson, and married on August 2, 1980, and had three children. Sue was a woman of strength, compassion, and love. A proud wife, mother and grandmother.

Her death is preceded by her brother Steve. She is survived by her devoted husband Dale; her children Joe, Jon (Mindy), and Rachel (Julius); her mother Shirley; her 7 siblings and her 5 grandchildren.
