Shirley Mae Prior

Shirley Mae Prior, 92, of Riverton, died at 6:05 am, Friday, June 4, 2021, at Villa Health Care East in Sherman. She was born November 7, 1928, in Riverton, to Louis and Ethel (Taylor) Becker. She married Earl Prior on October 26, 1947, and he preceded her in death on March 2, 2015.

She is survived by one daughter, JoEllyn (Darrell) Turner of Riverton; one son, Donald Prior of Riverton; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gene and Franklin Becker and one sister, Virginia Becker.

Shirley retired from Ameren CIPS after 27 years and previously worked for New York Life.

She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Riverton.

Visitation: 8:30-10:30 am, Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 10:30 am, Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Gifford officiating.

Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Riverton Rescue Squad.
