Ruth Marie Ruff

Ruth Marie Ruff, nee Schiferl, 91, of Palatine, IL.  Beloved wife of Andrew L. Ruff, Jr for 70 years. Loving mother of Suzanne (Vincent) Turnquist, Lawrence (Patricia) Ruff, Mary Kay Endre, Lori (Christopher) York and the late Daniel (Karen) Ruff. Cherished grandmother of Brian, Genny, David, Timothy, Andrea, Stephanie, Michelle, Ashley, Andrew and Sarah.  Proud great grandmother of fifteen.  Dear sister of Pat Hornig, Chuck Schiferl and Carol Deike, and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Ruth was the first appointed Village Clerk in Arlington Heights, a member and officer of the Holy Ghost Council Ladies Auxiliary in Palatine, member of Our Lady of the Wayside Women’s Club, and St. Theresa Funeral Ministry volunteer.  She loved to play golf, travel and cook.  She was an avid bridge player and crossword puzzle pro.  Most of all, she loved seeing and being with family, and attending mass at church with our Lord.
