Ross Davis, longtime resident of Cedar Rapids, died peacefully on October 6, 2025, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Born on July 3, 1934, in Bloomington, Indiana. Ross served his country in the U.S. Army in Europe and worked in sales for many years. He was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. He enjoyed golf and supporting Iowa Hawkeyes Athletics while ushering many events.
Ross was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jean Davis, his son Mark Davis, and grandson Cameron Davis. He is survived by his daughter Diane (Brian) Johnson; grandchildren Spencer (Carly) Johnson, Keagan (Joel) Theule, Baylor (Erica) Johnson, CJ (Kyle) McGrath, and Nick Davis; great-grandchild Alden Johnson; sister Ruby Patton and daughter in law Suzanne Davis.
A funeral mass will be held Friday, November 7, 2025, at 2:00 pm at St Patrick Catholic Church Ryan, Iowa with internment to follow. The family will receive mourners the hour prior to mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Corewell Health Hospice & Palliative Care West Michigan.
