Rosetta Pfeifle, 85, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, at Heritage Specialty Care in Cedar Rapids after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, 2023, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Funeral Service: 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Rosetta was born Jan. 4, 1938, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of William T. Bartosh Sr. and Carol (White) Bartosh. On Feb. 26, 1955, Rosetta was united in marriage to Theodore F. Pfeifle. To this union, four children were born. Rosetta enjoyed tending to her flower garden and harvesting her vegetable garden for canning. She loved long car rides and spending time with her grandchildren. Rosetta was a homemaker and foster parent to over 200 children in their home. She also was a dedicated daycare provider for numerous years. Rosetta believed deeply in her faith in God and was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Rosetta’s sense of humor, stubbornness and uniqueness will always be cherished.

Survivors include her children, Martha (Mike) Duncan, Angela (Jim) Beer, Carolyn (Darwin) Rittgers, and David (Jeannie) Pfeifle; grandchildren, Tangala (Travis) Duncan-Krous, Melissa (Chad) Buck, Tiffany (Dustin) Duncan-Benish, LeslieAnn (Robby) Duncan-Steggall, Jaycie and Rylee Beer, Heidi (Chris) Burkett, Brian Rittgers, Kira and T.J. Pfeifle; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
