Rosemary Dougherty, 84, of Springfield died at 11:55 pm, Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at her home. She was born February 15, 1936 in Chicago, IL to Erwin and Madeline (Parisi) Saballus. She married James Dougherty November of 1959.
She is survived by her husband, James; daughter, Janet (Paul) Haus of Madison NJ; two sons, Scott Dougherty and Michael (Jill) Dougherty, both of Pittsburgh, PA; five grandchildren, Daniel and Christine Haus and Ryan, Tyler and Claire Dougherty; three brothers, Donald (Jean) Saballus of Arizona, Ronald Saballus of Henley, IL and Jerry (Vikki) Saballus of Sister Bay, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Rosemary was a member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. She graduated from DePaul University with a Bachelor’s degree in business administration. She was an accomplished and avid bridge play and adored her family.
Visitation: 10 – 11 am Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
Funeral Mass: 11:00 am, Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with Reverend Dominic Vahling officiating.
Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
CDC Protocol shall be followed.
