Rose Marie Linders
Rose Marie Linders, 95, of Springfield, formerly of St. Louis, MO, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Timberlake Supportive Living. She was born September 5, 1927, in St. Louis, the daughter of John L. and Monica (Lamka) McGirl. She married John G. Linders on May 27, 1950 and he preceded her in death on December 15, 1992.
She is also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Lorraine Pellerito, Jane Pappert and Shirley Preis; and three brothers, James, Robert and Tom McGirl.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon (George) Perko and Carol Midiri both of Springfield; two sons, John M. (Mary) Linders of Germantown and Mike (Colleen Kennedy) Linders of Philadelphia, PA; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jean Barry, Jackie Giamanco and Pat Musick, all of Missouri; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rose has been a resident of Springfield since 1999. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Cahokia and St. Cabrini Catholic Church in Springfield. Rose worked at Busch Stadium Sports Service for 18 years, retiring in 1999.
Visitation: 10:00 – 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Cahokia.
Funeral Mass: 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Cahokia with Reverend Osang Idagbo officiating. Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
