Rosalie “Rosie” Walker McMinn

Rosalie “Rosie” Walker McMinn, age 67, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, March 14, 2022, at her residence.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mike McMinn, who passed away on May 29, 2018; her mother, Estelle Cagle; and her father, Paul Walker.

She is survived by her daughter, Marie Justus (Christian); one son, Josh Slowik; five grandchildren, Holli Gooch, Brianna Robinson (Kurt), Cody Seay, Baylee Slowik and Freya Fjeld; and four great grandchildren, Carter Gooch, Caydan Gooch, Uniyah Seay, and Elliana Robinson.  She is also survived by five brothers; two sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

Rosie loved the outdoors and would often sit outside in her rocking chairs for hours.  She loved watching birds and wild animals around her home.  Rosie loved music, especially bluegrass.  She adored her family and doted on her grandchildren.  Although stubborn to a fault, she was as kindhearted as could be.  Rosie will be greatly missed, but her family is thankful she is no longer in pain.

A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
