Ronda Summey Justus
- November 26, 2021
Ronda Summey Justus, 58, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday November 25, 2021. Ronda was the loving daughter of Jay and Peggy Summey and “Best Friend” to her sister Kimberly Summy Messer (Shane) of Tennessee.
She is survived by her high school sweetheart of 34 years, Jeff; her two loving sons Lex (Amanda) and Lane (Maddie). She was a loving “Nonna” to Hudson (5) and Parker (2) and excitedly awaiting the birth of grandchild #3, a girl, due in January. She also had an extended large family of sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and several cousins.
Ronda was a proud “Saluda Girl” and a 1981 graduate of East Henderson High School, where she played basketball and was on the Homecoming court. Ronda was a natural beauty with a kind heart and soul. God blessed her with the amazing talent of creativity and decorating. Ronda could envision things that no one else could see. Her Christmas trees gave the Biltmore House a run for their money, and she had a theme for each tree down to the wrapping paper. Ronda was soft spoken, witty and kind. She loved spending time at her lake house on Lake Keowee and going “bargain shopping”!
Ronda will be greatly missed by her family and loved ones, but she will never be forgotten. Numbers 6:24-26, “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
A funeral service will be held at Mud Creek Baptist Church on Sunday, November 28th at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 – 1:45pm, and a committal will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
