Ronald Wayne Lloyd

Ronald Wayne Lloyd, 71, of Springfield, formerly of Peoria, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born May 4, 1950, in Peoria, the son of Wayne Lloyd, Sr. and Evelyn (Gilmore) Lloyd. He married Monica Sue Williams and she survives.

Also surviving are his sister, Robyn Lloyd of East Peoria; brother, Randy (Jona) Lloyd of Brimfield; half-brother, Grant (Theresa) Merrer of Lakeland, FL; mother-in-law, Rose Williams; several nieces and nephews; and his cat, Penny.

He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Wayne graduated from Edwards High School in Peoria. In 2020, he retired from LaDew Cleaning after 15 years of service. He enjoyed playing bocce ball and corn hole. He was a huge fan of John Wayne and loved to watch a variety of western movies.

Wayne’s family will host a celebration of life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
