Ronald Lloyd Angle

Hendersonville resident Ron Angle, 84, died February 13, 2022, at Carolina Village where he had been in medical care for two years. His wife, Sandy, and oldest son Scott were by his side.

Mr. Angle was born in 1937 in Davenport, Iowa to Lloyd and Vivian Angle. He grew up in Rock Island, Illinois, where he played piano from a young age, a skill that he enjoyed his entire life. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelors in Accounting, where he met his bride, Sandra Birk.

His career path took Ron and Sandy and their three sons to Pennsylvania, Minnesota, England and California. He worked for Pillsbury, Souverain winery, the Minneapolis Star and Tribune, CPT and the Carlson Companies. They settled in Minnetonka, Minnesota until retirement, and then moved to Carriage Park in Hendersonville in 2005.

Ron enjoyed playing tennis, cheering for the Vikings and keeping detailed financial records. They loved to travel, visiting Europe many times, particularly France.

Ron and Sandy celebrated 62 years of marriage last June. He is survived by his wife, sons Scott, Brad and Brian, and four grandsons.

A Celebration of Life will be held at twelve o’clock p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Shuler Funeral Home Chapel.
