Ronald J. Nemchausky

Ronald J. Nemchausky, age 81 of Yorkville, IL passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at Rush Copley Medical Center. He was born on November 18, 1940 in Chicago, IL the son of Walter and Emily (Kallas) Nemchausky.

Ron was united in marriage on August 28, 1971 to Rita M. O’Ryan and they spent the next 50 years happily together. Mr. Nemchausky was employed as an arborist by the Chicago Park District, for many years, until his retirement. Ronald was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church as well as its Men’s Club.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Yorkville American Legion Post #489. He was also a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Ron was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Rita M. Nemchausky of Yorkville, IL; his children, Mary (Eric) Kelly of Shorewood, IL, Joseph (Maureen) Gannon of Virgil, IL, Christopher Nemchausky of Yorkville, IL, Sharon (William) Meyer of Elmhurst, IL, John “Sean” (Paige) Nemchausky of Tinley Park, IL, Fr. Matthew Nemchausky of North Riverside, IL; his 15 grandchildren; his one great-grandson; his brother, Dr. Bernard (Carol) Nemchausky of Burr Ridge, IL; many nieces, nephews and cousins, including his special “sister”, Joyce Krasowski.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Emily Nemchausky.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 406 Walnut Street, Yorkville, IL with Father Matthew Nemchausky officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Bristol, IL.

Family and friends may visit from 4:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL.
