Roger Allen Hall, 70, of Columbus Junction, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024, in his home, from a courageous battle with cancer. As per Roger’s wishes there will be no services at this time. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre are in charge of arrangements.
Roger was born June 21, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Maynard and Teresa (Barker) Hall. He graduated from Cedar Rapids Prairie High School, class of 1973. Roger was married to Betty Addison and to this union had two sons, Jeremy and Jason. They later divorced. Roger was united marriage Tammy Taylor on June 22, 2002, at Jolly Rogers near Coralville Lake. He retired from Quaker Oats. Following that he worked at Asplundh Tree Service and was union laborer which built the Roundy School in Columbus Junction. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, bowling, traveling, going to rock music concerts, cooking, tending to his yard, riding his Harley, and most of all spending time with his friends and family.
Roger is survived by his wife Tammy Taylor; his son Jeremy Hall; his siblings Susie (Robert) Fults and Christle (Dave) Cjerka; as well as his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Jason Hall, his brother Lee Hall and Scott Hall and his sister Ellen Hall.
