Rodney “Rod” Joe Clark, 65, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the Rehabilitation Center of Lisbon in Lisbon, Iowa, under the care of Compassus Hospice. The family will greet friends from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa, where a Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Rod was born on July 7, 1959, in Monticello, Iowa, the son of Harley and Doris (Oellrich) Clark. He was a 1977 graduate of Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids. Rod worked for Options and at the Penn Center. He enjoyed riding his bike and collecting cans. He loved listening to rock music, doing word searches and visiting friends. Rod will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Rod is survived and lovingly remembered by his mother, Doris Clark of Anamosa; sister, Sheryl Thomson of Mt. Vernon, Iowa, and Carla Clark of Minnesota; niece and nephews, Nathan (Aly) Thomson, Natasha Thomson, Nicholas (Stephanie) Thomson, and Brandon Clark; great-nieces and -nephews, Brandon, Noah, Jason, Joshua, Keyondra, Kaelani, and Kingson; uncle, Larry Oellrich of Center Point, Iowa; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harley Clark; brother, Bryan Clark; and niece Andrea Clark.
