Robert W. Gale
- October 27, 2021
Robert W. Gale, 66, of Dover, passed away in the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, following a period of declining health.
Born in Delaware, Ohio on February 5, 1955, he was the son of the late William Dee and Lassie (Cordial) Gale.
After completing his formal education at Delaware Hayes High School, Rob worked in a variety of management positions in the automotive industry before completing his career. In retirement, he immensely enjoyed lending a helpful hand to his wife, Candy, at her company, Gale’s Recycle It, LLC. He took peace in knowing that the success of the company would support his family for many years.
Rob was a very generous man, often giving of his financial resources, his time, and his knowledge. Rob delighted in gathering with his family at the holidays and often prepared dinners for all to gather around a table and enjoy. His wife, children, and grandchildren were the center of his life. He also felt a connection with nature whether he was feeding the deer and birds, fishing, or meticulously tending to his yard. Westerns were always on television in the room Rob occupied. He greatly enjoyed days driving in the car, attending festivals, and trying new restaurants. He was a big man with a bigger heart that will be deeply missed and cherished by his family and friends.
Rob leaves behind his wife of 31 years, the former Marvella “Candy” Parks; his children, Christopher (Christina) Gale of Milford, OH, Sarah (David) Beiersdorfer of Batavia, OH, D.J. (Brittney) Saunders of Dover, and Ericka (Joseph) Clark of Dover; grandchildren, Kennedy, Brenna, Chase, Rebecca, Grayson, Austin, Layla, Caden, Knox, Piper, Julianna, and Josiah; his aunts, uncles, cousins, sister-in-law, and numerous friends; and his pet companions, Scrappy and Miss Beasley.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center, 5600 N. Wooster Ave., Dover. A service celebrating his life will be held in the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. with Pastor Lucian Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Dover Burial Park.
