Robert McGrath

Robert Courtney McGrath, 83, was promoted to Guardian Angel on September 20, 2021. Born in New Rochelle, NY, to the late Julian C. McGrath and Charlotte Murphy McGrath; Bob was also predeceased by his brother Roger McGrath.

Bob proudly served our country in the United States Army; he had earned the rank of First Lieutenant as a Military Attaché. Prior to his enlistment he had graduated from Fordham University of New York with a Master’s in Economics. Upon Bob’s honorable discharge he further accomplished his education goals by earning a Master’s in Education at the University of Southern California; later pursuing a successful career as a Educator.

Although he was known as a private person his friends and family knew Bob as a truly outstanding storyteller. Bob was an avid reader; especially interested in topics surrounding physics. He had a natural hunger for knowledge. In his spare time, Bob was a tennis addict.

Left to cherish Bob memory are his wife of forty-seven years, Kathryn Austin McGrath; Highschool best friend Jim and  College best friend John. In addition, Bob also leaves behind special friends Rodger, Dennis and Linda.

Bob was the most loving man. He will be missed dearly.

A funeral service will be held at eleven o’clock in the morning Monday, September 27, 2021, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Military Honors.
